Exotic Dried Flowers
I really enjoy making flower arrangements with exotic dried flowers. They add something very mysterious to the overall feel of the arrangement.
I have used Wild Apple Pods in a lot of arrangements of exotic dried flowers. They have a natural coloring and they go with a lot of other color groupings.
Sabulosum is among my very favorite exotic dried flowers. They look a little bit like pine cones. I like to put these in arrangements pretty frequently.
Protea daisies are breathtakingly beautiful exotic dried flowers. I made a wedding bouquet for someone to carry that had dried protea daisies. That bride was very interesting. I’ve never met anyone like her before or since.
Dried protea flats are exotic dried flowers that are imported from Africa. These look so nice and they are totally affordable at $5 for eight stems. I think that knowing that the flower was from another continent enhances my experience.
Preserved Hydrangeas aren’t exactly exotic dried flowers, but I do use them in my arrangements. The coloring of the flowers is very intense. The company that dries the flowers uses complete darkness to preserve the color in the flowers.
Okra pods are exotic dried flowers that figure prominently in designs I’ve made over the last few years. I think that they are beautiful. The flowers that the okra plant makes are wonderful
as well, but I have yet to find them dried anywhere.
Sometimes while I’m looking for exotic dried flowers, I find other dried items that can work well in my decorative style. I like the dried gourds and pomegranates for some of my designs.
The stems of bleached Bell Cups make some of my arrangements feel otherworldly. I love using them for science fiction themed arrangements. Bell Cups definitely make the grade for exotic dried flowers.
The Cedar Roses that I buy come in ten stem increments. I rarely buy less than fifty Cedar Roses when I make a purchase. These exotic dried flowers go well in a bunch of my arrangements.
