All About Wusthof Cutlery


Wusthof cutlery is some of the best cutlery that can be found on the market. I have been trying various knives over the years and I just can’t find anything better than Wusthof cutlery. They are very expensive and cost prohibitive for the ordinary household cook.

Wusthof cutlery is made from high-carbon, stain resistant steel. All Wusthof cutlery was drop-forged from a piece of steel until their Silverpoint series was introduced. The Silverpoint series uses stamped-blade technology. Wusthof cutlery is primarily used by professional chefs.

Consumer Reports has rated Wusthof cutlery as top rated and Cook’s Illustrated magazine gives Wusthof cutlery high marks. Professional chef Emeril Lagasse has a signature line of Wusthof cutlery. It is easy to tell if the knife you are using is Wusthof cutlery because it has a trident logo encompassed in a circle.

Wusthof cutlery has seven different product lines and close to 150 different products. The Classic product line features knives that have been precision forged from a single blank of high carbon steel. These knives are incredibly sharp and have an edge that has been honed by hand twice.

The sharpest Wusthof cutlery is their Le Cordon Bleu product line. The distinctive bolster design is lighter and reduces fatigue during use. The handles on these knives are triple riveted and seamless. The



balance is extraordinary in all Wusthof cutlery and this product line is no different.

The Culinar product line of Wusthof cutlery is sculpted in stainless steel. The cutting edge on the knives is laser controlled and tested to be incredibly sharp. The design for this product line is elegant and very aesthetically pleasing.

The contemporary design of the Grand Prix line of Wusthof cutlery is very pleasing. The handles on these knives are ergonomic and slip-resistant. The knives in this product line are sharp, like all Wusthof cutlery, and honed by hand.

Wusthof cutlery claims to have quality without compromise. This is really evident in the products that they make. They have been in the business of making knives for almost two hundred years. I could not recommend a better tool for a chef than a set of Wusthof cutlery.
