Sigma-Aldrich?s annual profit grows 19 percent

The company posted a profit of $457 million for the year ended Dec. 31, up 19 percent from a profit of $384 million during 2010. It reported sales of $2.5 billion for last year, up 10.6 percent from 2010 sales of $2.3 billion. Profit and sales also both increased for the fourth quarter. Newton Medical Center community benefit tops $5M
Newton Medical Center contributed more than $5 million to community-benefit projects during fiscal year 2011. Sunera buys Parses, expands health auditing practice
Sunera LLC acquired the health care auditing business of Parses Inc. Financial terms were not disclosed in a written statement announcing the deal. Louisville-based Neace Lukens, an AssuredPartners Inc. company, has purchased Jenkins Insurance Services, a Sellersburg, Ind.-based employee benefits insurance company. Regulators block five South Florida assisted living/home health providers
Florida regulators said they revoked or surrendered the licenses of five assisted living and home health companies in South Florida in January.
